Ross Mcintyre- Associate Director
Camp Couchiching Community Initiative (CCI)

Ross has been involved in a variety of camps and outdoor centre's throughout his career and camping has always been an important part of his life. He is motivated by the amazing outcomes of exceptional camp programs and there's nothing he enjoys more than being part of a growing camp organization.

Graduating from Bioethics and Politcal Science at the University of Toronto, Ross became passionate about the relationship between people and their environments. In addition to his camping and outdoor education experience, Ross has worked as a youth support worker and as a professional tutor for over 10 years. Having been a part of start-up businesses in both the non-profit and commercial sectors, Ross thrives in roles that incorporate continuous learning.

He is an environmental enthusiast at heart, serving as a team lead for the Couchiching Conservancy and he has been a member of the Council of Outdoor Educators of Ontario for over 5 years. He feels most at home when facilitating an interactive hike through a wooded trail or when he has the opportunity to share his love of canoeing with eager paddlers.

Ross feels the camping movement is synonymous with personal development and social value. Participants are given an experience-based way to engage, learn, and grow. These invaluable aspects of camping become a reality everyday at Camp Couchiching and Ross is pleased to be a part of such an amazing community.
