Health and Safety

Health and safety is of the utmost importance at Camp Couchiching.  In addition to having a Registered Nurse on site throughout the entire summer, Cooch also staffs our Health Centre with respitory therapists for the majority of the season.  In addition, all camp staff must have First Aid and CPR training as a minimum standard.  In the unlikely event of an emergency, we have an Ambulance port located  five minutes away, and full service hospital only fifteen minutes away.  Help is always very close to home.

Health and Safety is an important consideration for our programs in Orillia as well. Our Orillia Headquarters is a 1 minute drive from the hospital and all other emergency contacts. Staff are trained and certified in all key emergency procedures. We are dedicated to creating safe environments for our programs and know that your child’s enjoyment of their time at Cooch depends on this.
